Xefr for architects and interior designers

Too big for Dropbox. Too small for the big CDE platforms.

Folio takes project information out of email and puts it in one place that your team, your clients and your consultants can all use.

Xefr comes with a pre-configured template for architecture and interiors practices. Start from the template, connect your systems, change what does not fit.

01

Share it once. Stop chasing it by email.

Drawings go out by email, reports come back by email, and the current version is whichever one somebody opened last.

Folio gives each client a login to their own jobs: the latest published drawings and how the open items are going. Consultants upload their own reports, and each one is filed into your SharePoint in the right folder.

02

File it once.

Everything received is filed by hand on the server: the date, who sent it, what it is. Then it is filed again on OneDrive or Dropbox, because nobody outside the practice can reach the server.

Folio reads what arrives, names it and files it. If the document closes an item, the tracker updates with the document attached as evidence.

03

Find it without asking who had it last.

The fire strategy is in SharePoint, on the old project drive or in somebody's OneDrive, and its file name says nothing useful.

Folio has one search box across the practice's files and reads inside every document. Ask it a question about a job and it answers from the files and shows where each answer came from.

04

One tracker in place of four spreadsheets.

Planning conditions, heritage, building regulations and fire safety tend to live in a spreadsheet each, kept by whoever started it.

Folio holds them in one tracker with the same screen and the same workflow each time. One view shows every job against every tracker, so you can see which jobs need attention this week.

05

Issue sheets that fill themselves in.

Typing drawing numbers and revisions into an issue sheet is slow, and one wrong revision letter is enough to cause trouble on site.

Pick who it is going to and pick the drawings. The numbers and revisions fill themselves in, and you keep a record of what went to whom, and when.

Your working files stay where they are

Models and working drawings stay on your server. Folio holds what you issue and what you receive.

It runs in a browser

One login for the practice, across every job. Clients and consultants see their own jobs and nothing else.

Your name on it

Your logo, your colours and your own web address. Keep the name Folio or choose another.

What is in the template

  • Client and consultant portal. Each client sees their own jobs, and consultants upload straight into the job folder.
  • Search across your files. SharePoint, the old project drive and OneDrive in one search box.
  • Filing and naming checks. Documents are named and filed to your rules as they arrive.
  • One tracker. Planning conditions, heritage, building regulations and fire safety, with room for more.
  • Issue sheets. Generated from the drawing register, with a record of every issue.

Talk on Friday. See it working on Monday. Tell us how your practice shares and files project information today, and we will show you the template set up around it.
